Can I use a hair styling gel before straightening my hair with a straightener?

Can anyone advice me on this.And please also let me know how should I use the gel before straightening.

1. no dont use gel before straightening u can use a heat protective serum before that. i would advice not to use styling GEL at all.cause it gives a stiff look.when u r done with straightening ur hair use a shine serum or a shine wax (give a sleek natural loook)
2. uhm, i don't think so... cuz the gel and heat combined will only damage your hair so you should have your hair straightened before applying anything on your hair...
3. you should use straightening gel to protect your hair u spred the gel out on your hair- on wet hair.then straighten it will come out shiny!
4. nothing that is heavy can be used with heat,your hair best works after washing and drying.
5. ummm first of all u shouldnt be doing that gel is used t keep your hairstyle in place and is definetly not used when ur straigtinig hair and when u starigten ur hair it will stay straight gel ruins your hair and so does starightening it so if u do it together it will ruin it more so i just say jusst starigten it and dont put anything else on it or it will look like this
