Can hair gel / styling paste cause baldness in men if used on a daily basis?

I've tried researching this on the web, but the "experts" seem to have different views. Personally I think if you shampoo your hair often, this shouldn't be an issue. Any thoughts?

1. i also believe that when u wash ur hair regularly,, everyday, the dirt that has accumulated because of the gel will be washed away.
2. No it is no problem at all! I know someone who uses gel everyday for his hair and he is not bald.
3. Any product used to clean or style hair should not cause baldness. It defeats the purpose, if by using the product you lose the hair it's styling or cleaning.
