Difference Between Hair Styling Gel, Foam, Serum, Promade, Wax etc.?
What is the difference between Hair Styling Gel, Foam, Serum, Promade, Wax etc. And what is each used for. When i go to the store there are way to many to choose from and i get confused. Thanks!

- Gel is obviously gel, and it makes your hair stiff. It feels really weird, too. Foam (aka mousse) is like gel, but not as dense, and it keeps your hair the way you want it. (Scrunching, for example) Serum is a liquid usually, and is made to "repair" the hair. Pomade is a waxy substance that helps style the hair. Wax is also a waxy substance that helps style the hair and keeps it firm! I prefer mousse/gel, and the best brands are Garnier, Pantene, and Herbal Essences. Hope I helped!
- Gel is for men or women with curly hair trying to weight it down. Foam usually gives body, thickness, fullness and isn't as sticky as gel. Serum usually used for frizzy hair to help weigh down hair, sometimes a serum is a protectent for curly hair but depends on what product brand, best advise read the bottle or ask your stylist. Promade is lighter than wax and is for peicing hair and sometimes helps with frizzy ends. Wax is heavy and holds extremely well for spiking hair or flipping hair or peicing hair. If you aren't sure what to use consult your hair stylist if he/she isn't helpful you should probably seek advise and service from a new hair stylist.
