How do you use volumizing spray gels if you just want to make your layers stand out more?

Is the volumizing spray gels good for if you want your layers to stand out ? How do you use it? I don't have the bottle right now to look at the directions I would just like to know how do you use it. Thanks for your help! What's the difference between a texturizing gel and a spray gel? oh and one more thing, do you add it when your hairs wet or dry?

1. Just add the gel to your hair while it's wet, and then kinda mess it up a little(NOT TOO MUCH!!!) and then blow-dry your hair while scrunching at it a little every couple minutes....hope i helped!
2. I have lots of layers and need them volumized or I look ridiculous. I use a volumizer on the roots before I dry it. Then I blow dry. After, I use a texturizer product. Because my hair is highlighted, I use Pureology TextureTwist for colored hair. You can only get this in salons, but I love it! Redkin also makes a good texturizer product. If you don't want to do a salon product, you can get the same type of product at a retail store. I don't think they're as good, but they will work. It's like a thick paste and you only need a small dab. Work it though your hair from underneath out. Hope it helps!
