Gels

What are examples of liquids, gels, and aerosols not allowed on planes?

My airline says that in your carry on your not allowed to have liquids gels and aerosols over 3.4 oz. Can anyone give some less obvious examples? And i was wondering if the following fall into those categories: Deodorant, lotion, Conditioner, Sun Screen, Chap stick, cover-up (cream), Mascara, and Eye Liner. Thanks for the help!

  1. All of those liquids are OK as long as they are under 3.4 ounces. Examples of things you can't bring are items that pose a threat to security like liquids used in bombs or highly flammable liquids in containers.
  2. Most, if not all of those things can be carried on a plane if at 3.4 oz or below. Usually you can find the smaller travel versions at the store, or even buy empty 3 oz bottles to fill yourself at places like target, walmart or cvs. worse case scenario, they discard it from you and you buy another when you land.
  3. go to www.tsa.gov
  4. All liquids in your carryon must be 3 ounces or less and placed in a single resealable quart bag. It doesn't matter wut the liquid is..any of those should be fine.
  5. Anything that can be poured or squeezed out of a container qualifies as a liquid or gel and is not allowed. Anything that is squirted from a can either by pressure or by hand is also not allowed (aerosol). The rule is, a total of 3 ounces. So, you can have three 1 ounce bottles or one 3 ounce bottle. Take sample sizes. Deodorant is okay if it is a stick style and not a roll-on. Chap stick is also fine. Sun screen is not. Pack all of that stuff in your checked bag and avoid the hassle.
  6. everthing is allowed if it is 3.0fluid oZ or less (it is 3.0 not 3.4)
