What's The Difference between Gels, Overlays and Acrylics?

I'm Planning to get my a manicure next monday between gels and/or gel tips overlay, and acrylic nail maicures. If you know, will you also include general prices and any opinions you have too! Thanx!

1. gels are stronger than just acrylic by its self and over lays just go on your nail with no tips hope i helped.....
2. Gels are placed on top of nail to fill in. Overlays are acrylic to fill in your nails from the growth of 2 weeks. Acrylics are the way to go. They start off by clipping your real nail and super gluing an acrylic nail on the tip of your real nail. Then they use the same stuff above to fill and shape your nails. I have mine airbrushed to give them the appearance of a french manicure. People comment on my nails all the time, they looks so natural!! I paid $35.00 for the tips and $20.00 for a fill every two weeks.
3. gel nails are tips with the gel overlayed to shape it...gets the way to go...its stronger and doesnt ruin your nails as much
