I have a pair of dark plastic glasses. I use very strong hair gel...almost like glue, and it always rubs on to my plastic frames. The lenses are fine, but the frames have a white glueish film on them. The only way I've been able to get it off is by scraping. I don't want to continue because it will ruin the frames and there will be a ton of uneven scrapes on it. I tried rubbing it down with rubbing alcohol and Dial hand soap. After using the dial, it seemed like I made it worse...as if I rubbed the soap in or something. I can't seem to find a liquid to help remove it. What's my best way to get rid of it? I read that using vinegar is not good on plastic frames. I was thinking about getting the finest piece of sandpaper I can find (about 1000) and just sanding it off very carefully. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance!
