Would applying hair gel then talcum powder on my hair make it go white for my school production?

I need my hair to go white for the school production, and I don't have a lot to work with. I don't have enough money to buy a wig or hair spray, and I'm not allowed to use dye. So would by putting talcum/baby powder in my hair, then running some gel through it, then another layer of powder. Would it turn my hair fairly white?
