What hair products are good for natural hair?
I have been natural for about 6 months and I am having problems with my hair. Can anyone recommend any good products for healthy growth and that prevents breakage? Also I have been trying to make my hair curly also so does anyone know of any products to give my hair a curl definition as well? Please and thank you.

- hey :) I recommend using 'Moroccan oil' it is honestly the best hair product I have come by, it protects my hair from damage really well without making it greasy. stops frizz and makes it really smooth and shiny http://www.moroccanoil.com/en/our-products.html for curl definition why not try bohemian spray, my friends use this product and it is really good! http://www.db4wildaid.com/bohemian_beach_spray.aspx
- 1.) I would recommend a porosity control product like Roux or Joico. They'll seal the cuticle and soften making it easier to detangle. I've been using this and my hair turned a 180. My hair was rough and some of the hair on my nape was bone straight for some strange reason even though I'd stop relaxing. After reading porosity control products can bring out your natural "hair pattern" I decided to give it a try. My hair went from bone straight to soft mini coils. 2.) For curl defining it only works if you have curls. There is only so much curl forming products can do. If you do, try eco-styler ($5), or Kinky-curly curling custard ($30). Hoped that helped! ♥
- Shea butter and unrefined coconut oil. Actually look up whipped shea butter on youtube and trust me, it works.
- I use a product called Mixed Chicks. They have a whole product line on www.mixedchicks.net but I especially love their leave in conditioner. It leaves your hair soft and manageable. I have a you tube page(http://www.youtube.com/user/KendrasCurls) showing me using the product and a blog (http://hairdiscovery.blogspot.com/ )talking about my transition. I have been natural for 5 years now and still learning and appreciating my hair. Check it out when you get a chance! Good Luck!
