Hair products?

Does anyone know of any great non-expensive hair care products for blacks(not always the most expensive is the best). Because at the moment I have relaxed hair, a short hair cut I've been trying growing out and my hair is limp with no body(cause I recently got it relaxed). Any suggestions. Also I use to use motions it was okay for a while. Also as a side note: does anyone know of any great websites I could find hairstyling tips for people with short haircuts growing out their hair.

  1. AFROSHEEN
  2. The Motions products are very good. You should take advantage of some of the Motions deep conditioners. Also, the Motions wrap lotion and setting mousse are both very good for providing body to limp hair. Any protein deep conditioner applied every other week is good for preventing breakage and helping to grow out your hair. And always use a moisturizing conditioner every time you shampoo. I would also suggest using hair products without petroleum byproducts. The Surge product line is pretty good, if you can find it. Another thing that you need to grow your hair out is a good vitamin. I suggest GNC's Hair, Skin and Nail vitamins taken twice a day. They will also do wonders for your skin.
  3. i dont kno personally, but my colored friends use pantine pro-v relaxed ( it comes in a brown bottle)
  4. I am black with relaxed hair. I really like the Cantu line of products. It's made with Shea Butter and they have some great leave ins to help with breakage. I also love their Daily Oil Moisturizer. My hair isn't relaxed stick straight and so it's curly when wet and the oil moisturizer is the only thing that keeps it from getting frizzy when it dries curly. Cantusheasoft.com I also really really really like Organic Root Stimulator hair care line. They have a replenishing conditioning pack that's amazing and very moisturizing. As well as their Hair Mayo which is great for damaged hair and breakage. P.S. Didn't realize folks were still using the word colored. Some folks might be offended by that. Next time try "friends of color."
