Gels

What is a good gel or mousse for scrunching my hair?

I have long thick brown hair, naturally has some wave in it. I've been using herbal essences totally twisted hair gel but it leaves my hair sort of stringy, crunchy, and makes it look wet.... also if it helps i wash my hair at night, comb it out scrunch it and tie it up on top of my head.

  1. I use Aussie .
  2. Herbal essence crunching gel is cheap and works well (: it also smells amazing.
  3. mine is like that exactly! i would say if you wanna make it curly you could just use a good curling iron:)
  4. Try using Charles Worthington volumising mousse Or you could try using salt spray it helps to put waves in your hair like sea water does In a morning when your hair is damp tie it in a bun then when you have done your makeup take it out and it should be is waves
  5. Ugh! Never use Gel, it's sticky and will make your hair all frizzy eventually. I Love Mouse to scrunch my hair. pretty much any type will Work but I sooo Love the Brand "Rave" (which makes my hair scrunched last forever) and "Pantene" is Very good too.
  6. I wash my hair at night , then i use a bedhead curlrocks curl cream only on my middle to ends cause if you put it on the roots it will look greasy , then i use this ono gol i found at cvs called la bella lots of curls styling gel . It has no achool so no flaking or itching lol . Then i scrunch it until its about 60 percent dry . Then i put it in a bun and sleep . Then in the morning .... AMAZING (:
  7. Well if u want cheap, suave works fine. It comes in a black bottle. I use it all the time. If u were wanting to spend a little more then, curly, sexy hair works great as well! I always do mine in the mornings because if I put mousse or gel before bed it looks really wild in th morning.
  8. I would buy a waver from your local drug or beauty store, it works kind of like a crimper would, but it makes waves instead of zig-zags. I think those are better because it does make your hair crunchy ! Plus they're only like $20. If your worried about burning your hair, you can buy a heat protectant. Tresemme makes a really good one !
