Gels

Do Omega-3 gels actually work or are they just a load of bull?

I recently purchased a bottle of Nordic Naturals Omega-3 soft gels due to my hearing so much about the many benefits of having a sufficient amount of omega-3 included in your diet. Are these fantastic tales of drastically improved heart and mental health true to their word or is this simply just another marketing scam trying to get at your wallet?

  1. Why not just eat more fish? You don't have to buy Omega-3 capsules. Just add oily fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, anchovies, herring, etc to your diet There are plenty of studies showing the effects of Omega-3. There are numerous studies just about Iceland which has a very low incidence of heart disease and one of the highest life expectancies in the world due to their amount of fish in their diet.
